KAVRU Field Laboratory

AFRIMS has greatly expanded its field research capabilities of KAVRU. The much anticipated and widely publicized grand opening of this advanced field laboratory was well attended. Among the dignitaries present where the US Ambassador to Thailand and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health. Many Thai television news agencies where also present covering the event.

This well equipped remote laboratory was constructed to bring advanced laboratory diagnostic capabilities where they are most needed, in the field. KAVRU’s mission is to serve as a center for studies in Dengue Vaccine Development and emerging diseases.
